A Great First Line for a Novel

I happened to see this first line from a new novel featured in Time Magazine:

"It began the usual way, in the bathroom of the Lassimo Hotel."

Quiet, interesting, intriguing.

The novel is Jennifer Egan's A Visit from the Goon Squad.
